Key Responsibilities:
Core Duties:
Excellence in Diagnostic Imaging:
Utilize your expertise to perform echocardiograms and vascular assessments, adapting techniques based on findings. Select suitable transducers and settings to ensure optimal imaging quality.
Assist medical professionals with specialized procedures, including transesophageal echocardiograms and stress tests.
Maintain comprehensive records of all imaging procedures and ensure proper archiving of patient examinations.
Commitment to Patient Safety:
Operate diagnostic equipment with precision and care, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Conduct daily inspections of ultrasound machinery to confirm operational efficiency.
Promptly report any equipment malfunctions through established channels.
Verify patient identity and procedure details in accordance with regulatory standards.
Departmental Duties:
Ensure examination rooms and equipment are sanitized and ready for patient use.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to appropriate personnel.
Customer Care Excellence:
Prepare preliminary diagnostic reports and liaise with referring physicians as necessary, adhering to established protocols.
Collaborate with colleagues to guarantee high-quality patient care.
Take responsibility for the safety and comfort of all patients within the imaging department.
Minimum Qualifications:
Eligibility for registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing Institute.
Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong understanding of ultrasound technology, cardiac and vascular anatomy, and medical terminology.
Ability to accurately identify anatomical landmarks and apply manual dexterity for effective probe placement.
Proficient in basic computer skills and data entry, with strong analytical abilities to prioritize tasks and work independently.
National Registry certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer/RCVT/RVT or RVS/RCS is required within six months of employment.
Work Schedule:
Day shifts available.
