Senior Neurodiagnostic Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EEG Technologist to join our team at Ochsner LSU Health System of North Louisiana. As a key member of our neurodiagnostic team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of neurodiagnostic studies, including EEG, Evoked Potentials, and specialized laboratory studies.

• Measures and applies electrodes accurately and efficiently, ensuring high-quality recordings and meeting laboratory standards.
• Writes comprehensive patient histories, gathering relevant information from patients, medical records, and family members.
• Performs EEG and Evoked Potential recordings according to laboratory standards, recognizing and addressing artifacts as needed.
• Reports critical test results to interpreting physicians and supervisors, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
• Provides clear and effective explanations of test procedures to patients and family members, ensuring understanding and cooperation.

• Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field or higher from an accredited college or university, or graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) accredited Neurodiagnostic (NDT) program.
• 3+ years of experience performing neurodiagnostic procedures in a patient care environment.
• Registered in EEG (R. EEG T.) through the Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation Board (ABRET).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.

• Registered through the Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation Board (ABRET).

This position requires working in a patient care area, with exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
