Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety regulations and protocols, utilizing the correct tools and equipment, and being mindful of surroundings.
  • Operate heavy machinery including skid steers, man lifts, and power tools to fulfill job requirements.
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintenance on equipment, performing repairs as necessary while following proper lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean by performing tasks such as sweeping and shoveling.
  • Adhere to safety practices to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and strong work ethic to foster a productive team atmosphere.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old due to job requirements.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, as well as a physical examination.
  • Prior experience operating loaders or similar heavy construction machinery is preferred.
  • Willingness to acquire new skills and techniques on the job.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with a diverse workforce.
  • Demonstrated work ethic and capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety and cleanliness on the job site.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Professional demeanor with a readiness to travel as needed.
  • Availability to work overtime, including weekends when required.

Physical Demands:

  • Capability to frequently lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) throughout the work shift, with or without assistance.
  • Regular walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, and reaching as part of job duties.
  • Ability to stand and work for extended periods and navigate uneven terrain.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and dust.
  • Frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental factors.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment and other safety gear as required.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day, with potential for overtime.
