As a Registered Nurse in the Medical and Surgical Units at Saline Memorial Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and assistance to our patients under the direction of nursing and medical staff.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Patient Communication**: Explain procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation, understanding, and alleviate apprehension.
  • **Medication Administration**: Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
  • **Preparation and Assistance**: Prepare equipment and aid physicians during treatment and examination of patients.
  • **Patient Safety and Comfort**: Maintain awareness of patients' comfort and safety needs.
  • **Observation and Documentation**: Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisors or physicians of patients' conditions and reactions to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
  • **Vital Signs Monitoring**: Take temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess patients' conditions.
  • **Emergency Response**: Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.
  • **Nursing History and Physical Assessment**: Document nursing history and physical assessment for assigned patients.

**Requirements:**

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • New Grad experience.
  • Licensed RN and currently registered to practice nursing in the state of Arkansas.
  • Currently certified in CPR.
