We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Assistant to join our team at OSF HealthCare.
Salary: $16.83 per hour, with opportunities for advancement based on experience and performance.
About the Job:
The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care as part of our interdisciplinary team, working closely with Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).
Main Responsibilities:
- Taking vital signs and assisting patients with daily living activities
- Collecting specimens and observing patients for physical and emotional changes
- Repositioning, feeding, and providing general support to patients
- Recording patient information in charts and communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure continuity of care
- Providing constant supervision to patients as needed, adapting to departmental expectations and supportive services required for specific patient groups
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
- Solid computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft software are necessary
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
