Job Overview

Purple Fly Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in executing computer-aided and hand takeoff estimates of structural steel components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform takeoffs of all types of structural steel components and typical detail requirements.
  • Review vendor and sub-tier quotes to ensure scope compliance with contract documents.
  • Produce an estimate summary, identifying basic and special requirements for the scope of work, such as buyout items.
  • Assist in the training of Estimators in Training positions.
Requirements
  • At least five years' experience in the structural steel industry in a similar role.
  • Understanding of the means and methods of the steel fabrication and steel erection process.
  • Construction experience.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in reviewing contract drawings and specifications.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
  • BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
