Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a bar or similar environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using order and payment systems is expected.
  • This role requires full mobility, continuous fast-paced movement, and the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, as well as push food carts weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be capable of serving cocktails on a tray.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to The Charles Hotel standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Meet certification requirements relevant to the position, including Alcohol Awareness and Food Handlers Safety.
  • Understand the organization of the restaurant and lounge, including the function of each job role.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of the products and services offered by Noir and the Charles Hotel.
  • Provide guests with all food and beverage needs in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables as necessary.
  • Familiarize yourself with the operation of the P.O.S. system.
  • Serve both bar and table guests.
  • Handle cashiering functions, including closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures and side work duties according to station rotation assignments.
  • Ensure tables and side stands are kept stocked, tidy, and clean.
  • Perform any additional duties as requested by management.
