The CT Imaging Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This position involves performing computerized tomographic scans while adhering to established protocols and standards.
Certification Requirements- BLS certification is mandatory.
- Primary ARRT certification must be obtained within one year of graduation from an accredited program (exemption applies for employees hired prior to 1984).
- Preferred qualifications include ARRT and ARRT (CT) certifications.
- Experience with EMR systems, particularly EPIC, is advantageous.
- The CT Technologist is responsible for conducting computerized tomographic radiographs in accordance with established practices and procedures.
- Reviewing exams for clinical appropriateness and prioritizing them effectively.
- Demonstrating proficient communication skills, especially in critical situations.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of hospital policies and procedures.
- Completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment is required.
- Shifts may vary between 8 and 12 hours to meet departmental staffing needs.
- On-call duties, weekend shifts, and holiday work may be necessary.
- Travelers must not have been employed by the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for the past 12 months to qualify for this travel position.
- Travelers will be the first to float within the facility and may be assigned to alternate locations within a 20-mile radius of their primary assignment.
- State tax obligations will be managed through your agency and reflected on your invoice, with payments directed to the state of New Mexico.
