Equipment Lubrication Specialist

Under the supervision of the Fleet Manager, this role is essential for executing preventative maintenance tasks to ensure that all machinery operates at peak efficiency. The technician will be responsible for lubricating various construction and motorized equipment at job sites. This position encompasses preventative maintenance (PM) services and lube system repairs for heavy machinery, as well as supporting all fueling operations for the equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and inspect machinery to facilitate lubrication and PM services.
- Review and comprehend PM schedules and intervals.
- Exhibit self-motivation, reliability, and a willingness to work in diverse weather conditions.
- Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic, along with effective communication skills.
- Demonstrate active listening capabilities.
- Safely drive and maintain the company’s lubrication truck.
- Engage in continuous learning to enhance knowledge as machine models evolve.
- Prioritize safety in all operations.
- Identify and report any near misses or unsafe practices.
- Ensure all safety measures, including MSDS, placards, fire extinguishers, and warning lights, are operational on all vehicles.
- Adhere to all local laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct routine lubrication and preventative maintenance on all equipment present at the site.
- Keep an accurate inventory of all petroleum products at all times.
- Ensure timely lubrication of all equipment to maintain uninterrupted operations.
- Maintain the fuel-lube truck and all related equipment in optimal working condition.
- Accurately document equipment numbers, hours, miles, and all products dispensed.
- Maintain company-owned tools in good condition.
- Complete all necessary forms, including lubricants inventory records and time sheets.
- Foster a team-oriented attitude to achieve individual, division, and company objectives.
Qualifications:
- GED or equivalent, with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience or a combination of training and experience with major automotive manufacturers such as Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, Mack, and Volvo.
- Valid US Driver's License.
- Ability to understand safety, service, and parts manuals.
- Capable of climbing in, on, and around equipment, demonstrating flexibility for awkward positions.
- Fluency in English is required; bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred.
