Job Title: Eye Care Specialist

Provide comprehensive eye care services, including visual examinations and differential diagnosis of abnormal visual conditions.

Salary: $88.59 - $108.25 per hour

About the Job:

As an eye care specialist with Kaiser Permanente, you will be responsible for providing high-quality optometric care to members. This includes conducting visual examinations, identifying pathology, and prescribing ophthalmic spectacles and contact lenses within the scope of your licensure.

Responsibilities:

  • Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures, state and federal laws.
  • Conduct specialized testing and therapy such as tonometry, orthoptics, low vision evaluation, and ocular photography under the direction of Ophthalmology.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational, state and federal regulations.
  • Report and coordinate with Coordinating Optometrists to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Work effectively with Vision Services teams, including Optical Lab and Optical Dispensing.
  • Promote member satisfaction by ensuring quality service and care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a school or college of Optometry accredited by the California State Board of Optometry.
  • Optometrist License (California)National Provider Identifier

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of optometric practice principles, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
  • Must be able to work evenings and Saturdays.
  • May rotate to other MOBs within the Medical Center Service Area*.
