We are seeking a skilled Communicative Disorders Specialist to enhance the quality of life for our patients through high-quality care in their homes.

Job Summary

The Communicative Disorders Specialist will be a key member of our healthcare team, delivering expert speech therapy services to clients. Working in compliance with professional standards and agency policies, this specialist evaluates clients' communication abilities, recommending strategies to improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate clients' communication skills, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including OASIS evaluations.
  • Develop and revise treatment plans in consultation with physicians as necessary.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members on care plans and provide training as needed.
  • Educate clients and families on effective communication techniques.
  • Document evaluation data, treatments, and client progress promptly.
  • Supervise Home Health Aides when Speech Therapy is the sole discipline involved.
  • Communicate regularly with physicians, ensuring orders are appropriate and addressing any changes in client condition.
  • Participate in the revision of care plans, updating the physician on client status and obtaining additional orders as required.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy program.
  • Licensed Speech Therapist in Florida.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Speech Therapist.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • A valid driver's license and insured, reliable vehicle.
  • Strong emotional resilience and physical stamina, including the ability to stand, stoop, and bend frequently.
  • Excellent judgment, communication, and observational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Compensation

$72,000 - $92,000 per year
