Job Title: Clinical Therapist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Therapist to join our team at First City Recovery Centers LLC. As a Clinical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop integrated summaries to identify problem areas that may affect treatment.
  2. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that effectively address patient issues and have clearly stated treatment goals and objectives.
  3. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews and demonstrate adequate preparation and understanding of patient issues, progress, strengths, and weaknesses.
  4. Lead and co-facilitate group therapy sessions to create an atmosphere that facilitates self-disclosure, group process skills, and insight into problems.
  5. Document patient progress and interventions provided in the medical record on an ongoing basis.
  6. Recognize, respond to, and assist in psychiatric crisis situations and provide necessary interventions.
  7. Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and physicians to ensure seamless care.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or a related human services field.
  • Two years of work experience in the mental health field.
  • Licensure and/or certification to practice clinical discipline in the appropriate state, as applicable.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Statutes regarding patient confidentiality laws.
  • Knowledge of addictions and the 12-Step Recovery Program.
  • Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health.
