JOB SUMMARY:


The Aerospace Flight Testing Specialist will engage in performance evaluation, flying characteristics, and systems flight testing of Cessna jet and propeller aircraft.

Testing encompasses the development and certification of both existing and new aircraft models. Some travel may be necessary.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Investigate U.S. and international regulatory standards, formulate testing procedures, draft flight test plans, analyze flight data, and compile test reports
Collaborate with various teams within Product Engineering to establish systems flight test procedures and criteria for success/failure
Execute performance, flying characteristics, and systems flight testing by coordinating with flight crews through telemetry stations and on-board during test flights
Contribute to the enhancement and refinement of flight test methodologies and tools
Assist in development and certification efforts as a subject matter expert (SME)

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, preferably in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics Engineering, or a related discipline
Current ODA UM or FAA DER (flight analyst) certification, and/or military experience is preferred
A minimum of 2 years of flight test experience on FAA part 23 or 25 projects, including familiarity with aircraft development and certification processes/techniques is required

QUALIFICATIONS:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Computer skills:
Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of Visual Basic is advantageous
Some understanding of aircraft development and certification processes and techniques is preferred

Cessna must adhere to U.S. export control laws and regulations.
