Medication Administration and Care

As a Medication Aide at Providence Child Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and accurate administration of medications to our residents. This position requires a strong understanding of medication management, including drug interactions, storage, and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications accurately and safely to residents
  • Monitor residents for potential drug reactions and report any concerns to licensed nurses
  • Manage medication processes, including storage and inventory
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in medication management and administration
  • Maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of licensed nurses
Requirements:
  • Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements
  • Oregon Certified Medication Aide certification
  • Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification
  • Compliance with Department of Human Services (DHS) background check requirements
  • 1 year of experience as a CMA in a healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6 months of experience as a CNA 2 with Providence
