Automation Specialist: The Essential Support for Our Manufacturing Operations

Position Summary:

In this vital position, you will be instrumental in guaranteeing the seamless functioning and productivity of our manufacturing processes. You will utilize your skills in diagnosing electrical and electronic control systems, ladder logic, and software to uphold a diverse array of machinery within our production facility. This includes offering technical assistance to production teams, engaging in new project rollouts, and validating equipment, as well as creating new ladder logic for process enhancement.

Key Duties:

  • Identify and resolve issues in automated systems
  • Conduct regular calibrations and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Offer technical advice and support to production staff
  • Collaborate on the installation and validation of new equipment
  • Design and implement new ladder logic programs to boost production efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards and report any discrepancies to the Quality Assurance team

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar automation role
  • Deep understanding of electrical and electronic control systems, including ladder logic
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and diagnostics of automated systems
  • Familiarity with industrial automation software (e.g., Mitsubishi, B&R, Tele-Mécanique, Wonderware)
  • Knowledge of various industrial motor drives (e.g., Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Lenze, SWE)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens automation software
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
