Senior Attorney

Join the Yuma County, AZ team as a Senior Attorney and take on the challenge of handling complex cases with ease. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for developing policies and procedures, performing professional legal work, and serving as a liaison between the county attorney and the public defender.

• Develop and implement policies and procedures in assigned areas of work
• Perform professional legal work in the prosecution or defense of complex cases
• Act as a liaison between the county attorney and the public defender
• Manage and prioritize assigned caseload
• Provide guidance to management on procedural issues
• Assure that cases are resolved within office policy guidelines

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree
• Seven (7) years of experience as a practicing attorney
• Extensive trial experience in a leading role in complex criminal or civil cases
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience
• Licensed by the State Bar of Arizona to practice law in the State of Arizona
