Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ER Registrar to join our team at White Plains Hospital. As a key member of our Patient Access department, you will be responsible for leading and managing the registration team, ensuring seamless patient flow, and maintaining the highest standards of customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the registration team, providing guidance, training, and coaching to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
  • Assist management in monitoring work performance, quality assurance, and productivity measures to ensure department goals are met.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction, staff engagement, and overall department performance.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with federal and state guidelines related to patient registration and HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely registration of patients, including demographic data, insurance information, and co-pay collections.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hospital Patient Access/Registration experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel, including reporting and data analysis.
  • Certified Patient Access Specialist (CPAS) certificate required.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and education skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical record systems (EPIC preferred).
