Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Allina Health Group Hastings. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing technical and diagnostic imaging functions under the direction of a provider or radiologist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procedure Execution
    • Complete procedures in compliance with physician orders, regulatory requirements, and department guidelines.
    • Room patients and manage patient flow.
    • Identify patients with two identifiers.
    • Document all necessary aspects of the procedure.
    • Observe and communicate with patients, responding to their needs.
    • Maintain a safe patient environment in the procedure area.
    • Perform dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) scans as needed.
  • Diagnostic Imaging
    • Perform procedures with a high degree of accuracy.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of all diagnostic equipment.
    • Gather relevant information to assist in image interpretation.
    • Verify that all imaging has been transferred to the imaging storage and retrieval system.
  • Clerical Functions
    • Provide accurate clerical support.
    • Use electronic medical records (EMRs) to document patient information.
    • Understand and utilize the Enterprise Medical Imaging/Picture Archiving and Communication System.
    • Ensure all documentation is complete post-procedure.
    • Stock necessary medical and radiological supplies.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
    • Report problems, issues, or ideas to the team.
    • Provide assistance, ideas, and information to support the work of others.
Requirements
  • Vocational or Technical Training: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Experience: 0-2 years in Radiology preferred.
  • Certifications: Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required upon hire.
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required upon hire.
