About the Team

Adaptive ML is a pioneering company that's revolutionizing the field of generative AI by democratizing the use of reinforcement learning. Our team is passionate about building foundational technologies, tools, and products that enable models to learn directly from user interactions and self-critique and self-improve from simple written guidelines.

We're a tightly-knit team with a proven track record of creating state-of-the-art open-access large language models, such as Falcon-180B. We've recently closed a $20M seed round with Index & ICONIQ and are already shipping a first version of our product, Adaptive Engine, to our customers.

About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Frontend Engineer to join our Product Staff. As a key member of our team, you'll help package our technology and turn it into an exceptional product that directly addresses pain points companies face in their generative AI deployments.

Our products help companies build more singular generative AI experiences by enabling deeper personalization with reinforcement learning. We prioritize transparency and simplicity, ensuring that our technology directly answers pain points without adding complexity.

Responsibilities
  1. Iterate and implement the user experience of our products, from initial design to frontend implementation, with a focus on principled engineering.
  2. Develop high-quality software in TypeScript, with elevated standards of performance and robustness.
  3. Construct systematic processes for product development, helping remove unknowns in our strategy.
  4. Contribute to our product roadmap by coordinating between the needs of the Commercial Staff and latest developments from our Technical Staff.
  5. Report clearly on your work to a distributed collaborative team, with a bias for asynchronous written communication.
Requirements
  • Significant experience (4-6 years) in software development, as a frontend engineer, or other similar role.
  • Strong software engineering skills, and a familiarity with TypeScript and GraphQL.
  • A track record of shipping ambitious technical products under tight deadlines.
  • A deep concern for user experience.
  • Passionate about the future of generative AI and eager to build foundational technology to help machines deliver more singular experiences.
