As a Family Law Attorney, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a case from start to finish, ensuring all legal issues are addressed and resolved.
  • Conducting thorough legal research and drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Providing compassionate and effective client counseling on a wide range of family law issues.
  • Negotiating settlements and agreements on behalf of clients in a manner that serves their best interests.
  • Making regular court appearances to advocate for clients and present their cases.
  • Guiding clients through complex property division processes in divorce cases.
  • Representing clients in adoption proceedings, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
  • Handling cases involving domestic violence, providing victims with the legal support they need to protect themselves and their families.
  • Assisting with guardianship cases, ensuring the best interests of the child or vulnerable adult are prioritized.

Qualifications:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A current license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Family Law Attorney.
  • Proven experience in case management, legal writing, legal research, client counseling, negotiation, court appearances, property division, adoption law, domestic violence, and guardianship.
