Job Summary:

The Staff Registered Nurse II is a professional caregiver who follows the framework of primary nursing and assumes responsibility and accountability for the care and teaching of groups of patients/families for a designated time frame.

The Staff Registered Nurse II directs and provides care to these patients utilizing therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Current California RN license
  • Current CPR card required
  • One year recent acute care pediatric experience within the immediately preceding 5 years
  • Ability to comply with infection control and other safety policies
  • Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position
Physical Requirements:

The Staff Registered Nurse II must be able to:

  • Sit for up to 3 hours/day
  • Stand/Walk for 6-8 hours
  • Bend/Stoop for up to 3 hours
  • Reach for up to 6 hours
  • Rep use of UE/Grasp for up to 6 hours
  • Lift/Push/Pull 40lbs or over 40# with assistance or equipment

This job requires the ability to hear alarms, clients and/or instruction and the ability to see accurately from 20 inches to 20 feet.
