Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, managing the staff, budget, and inventory of the dental department, and developing and implementing plans to improve daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and monitor the daily workflow and schedules of the dental staff, including hygienists, assistants, and receptionists.
  • Develop and execute plans to improve daily operations of the Dental Clinic, ensuring maximum productivity, operational excellence, and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and other federal, state, and local regulations and standards.
  • Manage dental production, schedule management, monitor expenses, and prepare reports in collaboration with Dental Director.
  • Maintain and order dental supplies, equipment, and inventory, and ensure proper maintenance and calibration of dental instruments.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, verify insurance eligibility, and collect payments from patients.
  • Handle patient complaints, concerns, and feedback, and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with other departments and external partners to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for patients.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education programs.
Requirements
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene, dental assisting, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in dental practice management, preferably in a FQHC or community health center setting.
  • Current certification or license in dental hygiene, dental assisting, or related field, as required by state law.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and coding.
Work Environment

The work environment is moderate, with moderate noise levels and the ability to work in a confined area. The employee is required to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period and perform light to moderate lifting.

Travel Requirements

Driving during the workday and local or out-of-state travel may be required to perform job duties.
