Cardiac Sonographer Specialist

Position Summary:
As a Cardiac Sonographer II at OSF HealthCare, you will follow established policies and procedures to perform and record Echocardiology diagnostic tests. You will obtain information about normal and abnormal anatomy used to diagnose disease, ensuring echo exams are of acceptable quality and recording results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic echocardiograms procedures independently.
- Communicate effectively with patients to allay fears and elicit cooperation.
- Relay patient information to physicians and nursing personnel.
- Recognize anatomic abnormalities and adjust equipment settings to target the ultrasound.
- Prioritize and organize daily work load while paying close attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Registration as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- At least one year training in echocardiology specific to a patient.
- BLS certification.
Benefits:
- $20,000 Sign on Bonus.
- $2.50 Weekend Differential.
- 24 hours of Vacation and Holiday time available for use beginning day 1.
Expected Pay: $49.72/hour, determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.
