Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at GNC. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, researching inventory discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Conduct regular cycle counts on warehouse inventory using RF equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Discrepancy Research: Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipping and receiving issues, and other related problems.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production, inventory, and shipping issues.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and report on the quality of incoming products, including weighing, counting, and measuring, to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • System Updates: Update product information in our systems as needed to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Expiration Date Management: Monitor expiration dates of products and ensure that expired products do not reach retail stores.
  • Special Projects: Assist with special projects as assigned by the Inventory Manager.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of inventory experience preferred, with experience in cycle counting using RF equipment.
  • Skills: Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to drive Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), stand, walk, sit, use hands or fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Noise Level: Low to moderate noise level.
