About the Opportunity
We are looking for a seasoned professional to lead our memory care program, providing a supportive and engaging environment for our residents. As a Memory Care Director, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and developing the overall operation of the memory care unit, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive memory care program, incorporating Life Skills and dementia-appropriate activities.
- Collaborate with the Activities Director to ensure a variety of engaging activities are available throughout the day and evening.
- Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in the memory care unit, ensuring high-quality care and support for residents.
- Facilitate monthly family support group meetings, providing a platform for families to connect and share experiences.
Requirements:
- One (1) year of management experience in dementia care.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and delegate assignments effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, as needed.
