Senior Cyber Defense Forensic Analyst

Chenega Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Defense Forensic Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for examining digital media in a forensically sound manner to identify, preserve, recover, analyze, and present facts and opinions about digital information in support of cyber incidents, law enforcement, fraud, or counterintelligence.

Responsibilities
  • Perform digital forensic analysis, including network and host-based.
  • Collect, process, analyze, preserve, and present computer-related evidence in support of cyber incidents, general counsel, law enforcement, fraud counterintelligence, and insider threats.
  • Perform automated and manual malware analysis/reverse engineering.
  • Execute proactive defense of systems through IOC sweeps, host interrogation, and persistent threat hunting.
  • Provide status updates according to the reporting rhythm, maintain daily Activities Tracker, and prepare Enterprise Forensics, E-Discovery, and Malware Analysis SOP.
  • Provide in-depth forensics of digital evidence (e.g., hard drives, mobile devices, flash, and optical media), serve as expert testimony to law enforcement as required, and handle/document following applicable U.S Statutory Laws, Federal Rules of Evidence, and industry best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in cyber defense and digital forensics.
  • GIAC GCFA, GIAC GCFE, or similar level certification.
  • Background check required.
