**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Document Specialist to join our team at JLS Mailing Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for end-to-end processing and programming of customer data files for direct mailing programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Mail Programming: End-to-end processing and programming of customer data files for direct mailing programs.
- Data Conversion: Converting data files for multiple file types and formats and from various sources.
- Direct Mail Services: Execute all direct mail DP functions as required – CASS, NCOA, Merge/Purge, Postal Presorting, Variable Data Programming.
- Reporting and Analysis: Utilize direct mail processing and reporting software such as BCC, Planet Press, and Crystal Reports.
- Digital Document Printing: Process supplied graphic files for digital document printing – Adobe/PDF, Word, JPEG, Tiff, Fonts, etc.
- Print File Formatting: Formatting and QC of print files for digital production – laser letters, inkjet addressing, personalized documents, color (CMYK) and black & white, fonts/font sourcing, graphic image resolution, line density, margins, page layouts, print impositions, variable data placement, window positions, simplex/duplex, crop marks, etc.
- Project Documentation: Creates appropriate project documentation such as programming results, print proofs, data output reports, etc.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Five or more years of experience in direct mail programming and/or digital document processing.
- Skills: Experience working with above programming languages and reporting software. Knowledge of Racami is a plus.
- Database Management: Database management experience working with relational databases to facilitate programming software.
- USPS Regulations: Knowledge of USPS postal regulations.
- Report Writing: Knowledge of report writing tools such as Crystal Reports or Planet Press.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in using products in the MS Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Access and Excel.
- Adobe Creative Suite: Proficient in using products in the Adobe Creative Suite of programs.
- Communication: Ability to process, comprehend, and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
Additional Requirements:
- Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot in a deadline driven environment.
- Teamwork: Team player with constant collaboration with other departments – Account Management, Digital Printing, Mail Production.

- HIPAA Compliance: Experienced working under HIPAA Privacy Rules and Protected Health Information security compliance.
