We are currently seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant.
The Physical Therapy Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering direct care to residents under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Key Responsibilities1. Deliver physical therapy interventions to residents in accordance with the treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
2. Support the Physical Therapist during assessments, evaluations, and advanced treatment techniques.
3. Monitor, document, and communicate to the therapist any observations regarding the residents' conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned tasks.
4. Keep accurate daily records of treatments and document progress notes on residents as instructed by the therapist.
5. Assist with the initial screening of new admissions.
6. Collaborate with the therapist in discussions with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
7. Aid in the maintenance of the physical therapy department and its equipment.
Qualifications1. Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
2. Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as per state regulations.
3. Preferably, prior experience in a setting catering to a similar demographic of residents.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including neat handwriting, and excellent interpersonal abilities.
5. Capability to comprehend and execute the directives of the Physical Therapist along with the policies and procedures of the facility.
