Job Overview
The Culinary Supervisor is accountable for preparing and cooking meals using established recipes and production standards while adhering to food safety, handling, and sanitation protocols.

This position requires the safe use of kitchen tools and equipment, including grills, fryers, ovens, and broilers. The Culinary Supervisor may oversee staff and assign tasks as necessary. Responsibilities may differ based on client needs and location requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Organizes and delegates daily tasks to team members, ensuring timely completion.
- Provides training and support to staff on their roles, food safety standards, and cooking techniques.
- Prepares and cooks meals in accordance with production guidelines and standardized recipes.
- Sets up the cooking area with all necessary ingredients and tools.
- Measures, weighs, mixes, chops, and prepares food items as required.
- Utilizes kitchen utensils safely, including knives.
- Operates kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, and mixers.
- Employs various cooking methods such as baking, roasting, and steaming for meats and vegetables.
- Presents and portions food according to established standards.
- Ensures proper food storage by following safety protocols.
- Cleans and sanitizes workspaces, equipment, and utensils.
- Maintains a high level of customer service with a friendly demeanor towards guests and colleagues.
- Adheres to safety policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation.
- Safeguards company assets.
- Develops and maintains work schedules and may create production records.

Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in a culinary role is preferred.
- Experience as a cook or in a similar position is required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.

Proficient knowledge of food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations, including proper handling, sanitation, and storage, is necessary. A food safety certification is required.
- Demonstrates basic math and counting abilities.
- Exhibits effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
