Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Mobile Trailer Mechanic to join our team at Fleet Services by Cox Automotive. As a key member of our mobile maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on trailers and equipment in a mobile/field environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform certified DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on trailers and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair trailer systems, including brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps, and engines
  • Conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections of company-issued service vehicles
  • Manage parts inventory and equipment provided on company-issued service trucks
  • Work with clients and customers to assess their needs and provide information or assistance
  • Manage concurrent assigned tasks and prioritize work-related activities and time allocations
  • Act with integrity and demonstrate honesty in all interactions
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's license and DOT Medical Card
  • Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to accurately judge distances and communicate effectively
  • ASE T8 (PMI) certification and ASE 608/609 certification
