Key Responsibilities- Under the guidance of a supervising Physical Therapist, you will acquire pertinent information and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs using varied techniques and treatment activities.
- You will review and modify treatment plans in response to changing patient needs, identifying equipment and discharge requirements.
- As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will be aware of patient injuries and diagnoses, taking necessary precautions to observe indications and contraindications.
- You will assist patients in preparing for treatment and modalities as necessary, providing treatment to diverse diagnostic populations and completing supporting documentation according to hospital policy and State Practice Act.
- You will communicate and collaborate with support personnel regarding treatment orders as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- You will apply physical agents, therapeutic exercises, or gait-training activities as outlined by the licensed Physical Therapist, progressing patients in an appropriate manner when deemed necessary.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Previous experience in patient care is preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification
