Job Opportunity

The Citywide Protection Unit is seeking a dedicated and experienced Armed Security Officer to provide exceptional security services within the Sansom Park community.

This role is critical in ensuring the safety and security of clients and their properties during the weekend, a time when vigilance and professionalism are paramount.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
  • Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances promptly.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an armed security officer.
  • Must be licensed to carry a firearm in Texas.
  • Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
  • Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in security administration or similar field is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must reside in or near Sansom Park, Texas, to ensure quick response times and a strong understanding of the local community dynamics.
