As a Surgical Step Down Unit Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in coordinating and delivering care to our patients. In collaboration with medical providers, you will provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, assessing patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
Responsibilities:
- Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
