Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team in the Cardiac Cath Lab at UnityPoint Health. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and supporting patients and families before and after cardiac procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with admission and preparation for procedures
  • Answer patient call lights and respond to patient needs
  • Assist with simple procedures and take and record vital signs and weights
  • Transport patients, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
  • Utilize a holistic approach to patient care, considering physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
Requirements
  • 18 years of age or older
  • 75-hour Basic CNA Course completion
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license when driving for work-related reasons
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Microsoft Office basic computer skills
