System Integration Architect

About This Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled Ground Systems Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining ground-based systems that support our space missions.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement secure data transfer protocols to ensure compliance with relevant security policies and standards
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define systems architecture, and develop detailed system design specifications
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including government agencies and contractors, to align ground systems engineering efforts with broader program objectives
- Ensure that all ground systems deployments meet or exceed regulatory and security compliance requirements, including those mandated by the TS/SCI clearance level
- Document system configurations, procedures, and processes; provide training and support to operational teams as required
Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI clearance is required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in ground systems engineering, with a focus on NSS software development and network protocol security policies, standards, and requirements
- Expertise in designing and implementing secure communication systems that operate across multiple security domains
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar
- Strong understanding of security protocols, encryption, and data integrity principles
- Demonstrated experience in system integration, testing, and performance tuning
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline
- Experience with space mission ground systems, including telemetry, tracking, and command systems
- Knowledge of national security and defense-related compliance regulations
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for software development (e.g., Agile, DevSecOps)
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services, such as AWS or Azure
- Certification in relevant technologies and security domains is a plus
Estimated Salary Range: $136,800.00-$191,520.00 per year, based on location.
