The primary aim is to assess and address special educational and/or emotional/behavioral challenges faced by students through thorough psychoeducational evaluations and collaboration with educational personnel, guardians, and learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address referrals for initial psychological evaluations and re-assessments of children enrolled in special education programs, adhering to federal and state regulations.
  • Exhibit a proficient understanding of the psychometric properties of various assessment tools.
  • Demonstrate effective consultative abilities during discussions with parents, educators, and students.
  • Articulate psychological evaluation findings and suggestions both verbally and in written documentation.
  • Engage in eligibility determinations and program planning to cater to the needs of students with disabilities.
  • Contribute to professional development initiatives.
  • Advise on suitable remedial and intervention strategies for students.
  • Utilize time and resources efficiently.
  • Provide differential diagnoses concerning intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
  • Maintain a valid and appropriate license, certificate, and/or credential as required for this role.
  • Adhere to work scheduling and attendance expectations consistently.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and proficiency relevant to the position.
  • Stay updated with current developments, literature, and technical resources pertinent to job responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Abide by federal and state regulations, along with Board policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
