Role: Responsible for coordinating patient appointments for various procedures including surgical and diagnostic therapies. This role involves gathering and confirming essential demographic and insurance details, as well as registering patients and inputting information into scheduling systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Schedule patient appointments efficiently and accurately.
2. Verify and obtain necessary patient information.
3. Maintain comprehensive records and accounts.
4. Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting and welcoming patients.
5. Mentor and guide fellow schedulers, serving as a key resource.
Compensation: The estimated pay range for this position is $23.87 per hour, contingent upon experience.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, or GED is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a healthcare or customer service environment, with a preference for surgical experience.
Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and various scheduling systems (e.g., Net Access, Centricity, Pathways Healthcare Scheduling, Chartlinks). Knowledge of medical terminology is essential. Experience handling high call volumes is necessary. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities, are required. Candidates must demonstrate organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
