Agricultural Specialist

Bee Sweet Citrus, a leader in the agriculture industry, is seeking an Agricultural Specialist to join their team. This role requires traveling from one ranch to another, necessitating a valid California driver's license with a clean DMV record.

The Agricultural Specialist will be responsible for scouting and monitoring fields, collecting samples, and assisting Pest Control Advisors with field checks and recommendations. They will also learn and apply Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices, safety procedures, and mixing protocols.

• Prepare traps for placement in fields and inspect them weekly
• Collect soil, fruit, tissue, and other samples as needed
• Assist PCA's with field checking, pest and weed identification, writing recommendations, and fertilization plans
• Place traps in fields, conduct field evaluations, and pull soils and leaf samples
• Learn and apply IPM practices, calibrations, safety procedures, and mixing protocols

• Knowledge of basic computer skills
• Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently and in a team setting
• Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand
• Ability to recognize potential issues and take corrective action

• Must be able to think rationally and apply logic during high-stress situations
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift heavy objects
• Must be able to work in various conditions, including heat, cold, and adverse weather
• Must be able to climb, reach, and stretch

• $17-$20 per hour
