TalentBurst is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Food Service Attendant to join our team. As a Food Service Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while ensuring the highest quality of food and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Service Operations: Responsible for the food service operation on patient care areas, including serving therapeutically correct trays to patients, processing diet orders, and collecting patient menu selections.
- Customer Service: Demonstrates a patient/customer comes first attitude, greets patients, visitors, customers, and co-workers with a smile and pleasant manner, and practices service recovery.
- Menu Management: Makes dietary modifications and appropriate age-specific adjustments to menus/trays following established guidelines, and reviews and adjusts patient's marked menu in accordance with the ordered diet and patient's nutritional requirements.
- Inventory and Supply Management: Inventories, obtains, stores, and rotates supplies and nourishments within established time lines using the par system.
- Equipment Maintenance: Checks and reports equipment temperatures and problems in accordance with quality control procedures.
- Communication: Communicates food service/nutrition related problems to manager, technicians, and dietitians as encountered, and takes appropriate action to handle patient problems/inquiries.
Requirements:
- Education: High school graduation or its equivalent.
- Experience: Six months food service experience preferred.
- Certifications: ServSafe certificate preferred.
Work Environment:
White scrub top; black scrub pants (black cargo pants ok, but no jeans, yoga pants, or tight leggings); foot ware needs to be waterproof, or resistant, and skid proof.
