About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Optician to join our team at EssilorLuxottica. As a key member of our optical dispensary management and consulting company, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient experiences through the selection of eyewear, accurate measurements, ordering, and fitting.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to establish our practice as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. You will work closely with doctors, learn from complex medical cases, and make a difference in patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing a voice for peers and supporting the establishment of the practice as a premier destination for vision needs.
  • Take and record measurements, adjust or fit eyewear correctly, and ensure finished eyewear meets standards and patient requirements.
  • Explore patient needs and priorities by asking open-ended questions and assist peers with difficult or complex areas of product needs and prescriptions.
  • Anticipate problems, explore underlying reasons, and develop long-term solutions to problems, ensuring patient satisfaction and expectations are exceeded.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system, inputting patient information with accuracy and attention to detail, and commit to delivery date and time.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Active state optical licensure; must maintain license.
  • Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork.
  • Basic math skills and sales skills.
  • Familiarity with technology, such as point-of-sale, patient record systems, and other software applications.
