Radiology Imaging Specialist

The Computed Tomography (CT) technologist plays a crucial role in the radiology department, assisting physicians in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This position requires preparing patients for procedures and operating CT equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic scans.
Responsibilities- Ensures patient safety and comfort while in the radiology department.
- Explains procedures and post-procedure orders to patients to gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.
- Prioritizes workflow based on patient condition and ensures timely arrival and departure.
- Provides a conducive atmosphere to gain patient cooperation and confidence.
- Utilizes patient satisfaction and practice performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and participates in the planning process.
- High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year Associate's Degree preferred.
- 1-year experience in CT preferred.
- Certified and registered by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) within 12 months of hire required.
The job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequent traveling, and reaching overhead, extensively, and repetitively. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills are also necessary. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs. May be exposed to radiation.
