Key Responsibilities

  • Design new risk controls for equity arbitrage strategies (intraday to long term) that effectively balance market, operational, funding, and liquidity risk without disrupting trading activity
  • Real-time monitoring of intraday risk limits to ensure adherence to established thresholds
  • Analyze historical measures to calibrate risk metrics and identify areas for improvement
  • Investigate the root cause of risk limit breaches and collaborate with operations and trading teams to resolve them efficiently
  • Evaluate bespoke trading opportunities to optimize portfolio performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, economics, computer science, electrical engineering, or statistics
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a risk manager focusing on equity arbitrage trading at an investment bank, hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, or asset manager
  • Solid understanding of equity risk models and equity portfolio risk management
  • Proficiency in programming languages, preferably Python
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to various stakeholders across the firm.

We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $250,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including company-paid medical benefits and other perks.
