Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Securities Operations Specialist to join our team at Equiniti. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and international organization, connecting businesses with markets and engaging customers with their investments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of operational tasks for complex securities or cash-related transactions, requiring expert knowledge of unit functions and systems. They will also be responsible for gaining a thorough understanding of all requirements associated with dividend processing activities and the interrelated functions of other Shareowner Services departments.

The ideal candidate will have experience in an operational environment, prior Transfer Agent or Securities Industry experience, and strong attention to detail and accuracy skills. They will also be able to multi-task and meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Transaction processing and reconciliation
  • Resolving complex customer issues associated with the dividend process
  • Ensuring shares and cash are in balance
  • Performing a variety of balancing tasks
  • Acting as liaison to other internal departments and external sources
  • Providing department-level reporting using multiple sources
  • Creating and/or maintaining databases
  • Defining user requirements and contributing to production and workflow improvements
  • Creating or revising departmental procedures
  • Providing training or work direction for staff
  • Providing back-up for numerous department functions
  • Leading and/or participating in department projects
  • Addressing compliance and corporate governance issues for the department

Requirements include a High School Diploma or Equivalent, and a preferred Associate or Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. One year of a corporate office environment is also preferred.
