Position Summary:


The Fiber Optic Construction Inspector is responsible for overseeing fiber optic installation projects to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.

This role involves coordinating various project activities and maintaining comprehensive records of the installed fiber infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to OSHA/State/Local Safety Regulations
- Document daily operations in a construction inspection log
- Identify and report unsafe practices by contractors to the supervising crew
- Provide direction based on engineering construction plans
- Create As-Built documentation, either manually or digitally
- Detect and log any deficiencies
- Communicate necessary corrective measures to subcontractors
- Collaborate effectively with less experienced inspectors
- Understand and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Additional Qualifications:

Required Skills:
- Proficient in interpreting maps, drawings, and diagrams related to fiber construction
- Knowledge of fiber optics and outside plant operations
- Strong organizational abilities
- Capability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods and perform tasks such as bending, standing, climbing, and walking in construction zones
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with company policies.
- Exhibit reliability through consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Work collaboratively as a team member while maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Willingness to pursue ongoing professional development and training as necessary.

Education and Experience:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
