We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Medicine Physician to join our team at the University of Maryland's newest off-campus site in Columbia, Maryland.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including examining patients, assessing symptoms, and ordering and executing various tests and diagnostic images.
- Prescribe and administer treatments, including medications and immunizations, and discuss potential side effects with patients.
- Document patient visits, including medical history, physical exam, diagnoses, and plan of action.
- Provide patient education and counseling on various conditions and treatments.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Doctoral degree in Medicine in the area of specialty.
- ALS/BCLS certification.
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, or eligibility for certification.
- 3-5 years of clinical experience.
- Experience with ambulatory EMR preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to promote professionalism through involvement in professional organizations, teaching, research, and publishing.
The hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and weekends from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
