Qualifications:
  • Education: PhD, MD, or equivalent in data science, computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven people management experience with a strong track record of building and leading high-performing data science teams specifically within drug discovery.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep expertise in data science, computational biology, and AI/ML applications in early-stage biology, drug discovery, and translational research. Extensive experience working with genomics data is essential.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and effectively manage small teams and manage internal and external collaborations.
  • Industry Knowledge: A recognized leader in the field, with a deep understanding of external trends and the ability to apply advanced analytics and AI/ML to complex biological and clinical datasets.
  • Communication: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex data science concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Problem Solving: Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to execute and prioritize effectively in a complex, matrixed environment.

Location: On-site minimum of 3 days per week in Cambridge, Massachusetts (however fully remote working is possible long-term)

Travel: Domestic and international travel up to 15%
