Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at The University of Kansas Health System. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians with diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic radiologic and ultrasonic guided imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain competence in assisting during physician-supervised procedures, ensuring proper sterile preparation of patient access areas, procedure trays, and supplies.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of contrast material use and patient charges.
  • Perform radiologic diagnostic imaging procedures, incorporating access techniques for vascular, spinal, neurological, and general chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremity locations.
  • Complete mandatory educational assignments and maintain professional, clinical, and technical competency.
  • Follow organizational policies regarding confidentiality, HIPAA, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Radiologic Technology graduate of an accredited program.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Radiography (R) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) or Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) certification from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree.
  • 1 or more years of broad interventional exposure.
  • Second language proficiency.
