Technical Draftsman

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Drafter to join our team at Bronwick Recruiting and Staffing. As a CAD Drafter, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and fabrication-ready designs for custom stone countertops.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Accurate Designs: Utilize client-provided measurements, templates, and design specifications to create accurate CAD drawings for custom stone countertops.
• Collaborate with Production Team: Work closely with project managers, fabricators, and installers to ensure designs meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
• Translate Field Measurements: Convert field measurements and templates into shop drawings, ensuring precision for cutting and fabrication.
• Review and Revise Designs: Review and revise designs based on client feedback and production constraints.
• Maintain Database: Maintain a detailed and organized CAD file database for active and completed projects.
• Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with the production team to address any design challenges or adjustments.

Qualifications:

• CAD Software Proficiency: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar). Experience with stone or countertop-specific software (e.g., Slabsmith) is a plus.
• Understanding of Blueprints: Strong understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication processes.
• Previous Experience: Previous experience in stone countertop fabrication or a related field is highly preferred.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of design.
• Collaboration Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
