Pet Groomer

This position is responsible for providing professional grooming services for dogs, utilizing knowledge of canine characteristics and grooming styles and techniques.

• Deliver exceptional customer satisfaction by providing high-quality grooming services.
• Answer phone calls and schedule appointments, assisting in generating business by calling existing and new customers.
• Book appointments, greet pets, and report any accidents or injuries to the Store Manager promptly.
• Follow established bathing and grooming procedures, cleaning ears, clipping nails, and performing other necessary services.
• Adhere to customer instructions for clipping patterns and clip dog hair according to determined patterns using electric clippers, combs, and shears.
• Comb and shape dogs' coats, talk to animals to keep them calm, and complete customer and company forms accurately.
• Observe safety rules and procedures, sweep, vacuum, clean, and sanitize cages, tubs, and other areas as needed.
• Assist in store operations as needed and maintain a safe and productive work environment.

• Minimum 1-year experience grooming/styling pets, comfortable working with dogs and cats, and ability to provide own tools or purchase required tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of Paragon Level 1 & 2 training provided by Petsense.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately, operate grooming tools and equipment, and communicate effectively with customers.
• Display compassion with animals, exhibit attention to detail, and lift and carry pets weighing 0-50 pounds.
• Work varied hours, days, nights, and weekends as business needs dictate, stand and walk for long periods, and safely work around pets and their waste.
