YOUR ROLE AND IMPACT:The Finance Analyst within the Executive Development Program will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and analytical support for Carter's, Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Coordination (70%): Oversee the integration of financial and strategic planning initiatives.
- Manage the collection, preparation, and dissemination of weekly financial reports to leadership.
- Assist in the consolidation and reporting of quarterly forecasts, Annual Operating Plans, and long-term strategic plans.
- Work collaboratively with department heads to oversee budget management, including forecasting and variance analysis.
- Prepare materials for essential meetings, including leadership reviews and board presentations.
- Analyze forecast variances to identify key drivers and provide actionable feedback.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to support strategic decision-making and provide recommendations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance reporting automation for improved efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure effective communication of forecast deliverables across business units.
Strategic Investment Reporting (10%):
- Consolidate and report on the enterprise Capital Expenditure (CapEx) budget, including forecasting and actuals.
- Engage with business leaders to monitor ongoing projects and predict future CapEx expenditures.
- Analyze variances in forecasts to identify key factors and relay insights to management.
- Support initiatives related to strategic investment reporting.
Process Improvement (10%):
- Identify opportunities for enhancement within existing financial planning processes and lead improvement initiatives.
Support for Strategic Initiatives (10%):
- Assist in identifying new business opportunities and projects through thorough analysis.
- Provide financial modeling support for corporate initiatives and projects.
- Drive data analysis and develop business cases for key projects to assess their impact on overall performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively with strong interpersonal skills.
- Background in finance or accounting with a solid understanding of financial principles.
- Self-motivated and organized, with a focus on achieving team objectives.
- Familiarity with accounting concepts and the ability to analyze financial statements.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Degree in Finance.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Highly organized with proven multitasking skills.
